What do you use to create your work of arts? (graphically)

I am curious what program is the pick for the artists on the forum.

I know some people like to just draw then scan, but others are into doing it all on the computer...what is your fav way?

I personally am more into graphic artwork involving programs like adobe photoshop or jasc, I pretty much fail at free lance drawing.

Example of what I mean for mine:

Lol, I know several people who is MS Paint though

For my digital work, I use my tablet and Corel Painter. But for traditional, I prefer black and white using pens or pencils.

As for graphics, I am still trying them out. Not sure they're my thing. lol.

I've heard of other artists mentioning tablets...any comments about their use?

I LOVE mine. It is really easy to use and feels like you are just drawing on paper. I highly recommend it for anyone who is serious about digital art.

I'm wondering.... what do people make avvys on?

I'm not very good at making them myself, but I know some people who use Photoshop. Not sure how well it works or anything though. Sorry.

I have a little kids' tablet that came with a little kids' animation program..so...I wouldn't recommend it XD

I can't figure out how to animate them in Photoshop myself =/

All I want is the shrooms and under it, it just says shrooms, one letter at a time untill all of 'Shrooms' is spelled out

I personally prefer animating with jasc, but that could be just because it is easier for my simple mind to grasp, hehe.

That isn't a avatar of course, but still shows you that animation is possible with jasc!

Anyone have any advice on which tablet I should look at? I saw some cheap ones for like $50 but don't know if cheap will mean crappy.

As for a tablet, my friends use Wacom tablets, there are many versions though.

Jasc Paint Shop Pro and Jasc Animation. They had a name change since then, so the last version as "jasc" is number 9.

Jasc Paint Shop Pro version 9 basically.
