Frightening Experiences

Last night my boyfriend and I were driving when out of nowhere, there's an eight point buck right in front of the car. All I remember is how it just seemed to melt away from the darkness, neither of us saw it until it was RIGHT there. I remember covering my mouth and screaming; I think I shut my eyes for a second, too.
Luckily, no one was hurt. Well...I mean the deer, but....yeah.

What was your most frightening experience?

Similar to yours - a car experience.

I was driving to class on a 55 MPH road (so that means we all do ~60) and this BIG truck was signaling to turn right (my left). He sat there just long enough for me to almost get on him then he pulls out in front of me to back into the driveway.

I barely had enough time to break, swerve off the road, and go by him. There was another car behind me which also hit their breaks and almost hit me since he was just as surprised as I was.

The guy in the big truck just sat there with a dumb look on his face.

Gee dude you cut off two cars doing 60 with barely any notice and you look surprised? *sigh*

I'll be scared of driving by myself for quite some time to come

Yeah, I was pregnant at the time too so that was scary.

I had one other scary car experience - hit a patch of ice, spun, and went in the ditch with my son in the backseat. It's amazing how many thoughts can go into your head in a few seconds.

Geez, both of these stories sound really scary I would never want anything like that to happen to me.

I am really glad you're both okay, having a child in the car when something like that happens just intensifies the fear ten times.
